Mariani. A family run company built on hard work, high quality and uncompromising customer service through dedication, knowledge and tradition.
Founded by Vito Mariani, who came to America from Italy in 1954, Mariani Landscape began modestly, providing garden maintenance services along Chicago’s North Shore. Led by his son Frank Mariani starting in 1973, Mariani expanded into the landscape architecture arena in the 1970s augmented by our own dedicated construction team. The company continued its vertical integration with the addition of a full service branch serving the western suburbs of Chicago—which is now run by Frank Jr., Frank’s son and the third generation in the business.
The largest privately owned residential Landscape Company in the United States, Mariani is an industry leader providing exceptional residential and commercial landscape management and garden care, as well as snow and ice management from two separate facilities in Lake Bluff and Westmont, Illinois.
Serving the Western Suburbs for over twenty years, Mariani Landscape provides industry and award recognized design and maintenance capabilities from its Westmont, Illinois facility.
“Providing local service allows us to insure the level of customer care that has been the hallmark of Mariani Landscape for more than fifty years,” said Westmont Branch Manager Frank Mariani Jr. “We are a part of this community and we are pleased that we can continue to provide our local clients with the design, construction and maintenance expertise they deserve.”
Another key component of the Westmont Branch of Mariani Landscape is the activities of longtime Mariani Landscape Design Director, Tony LoBello. Tony has been with Mariani for well over twenty years and he has designed and overseen the construction of numerous significant projects throughout the Western Suburbs.
The Westmont facility is the dispatching point for the regular maintenance and enhancement crews with our full service facility housing the necessary equipment and personnel to properly maintain our many clients in this area.
Mariani Landscape is a member of the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP), American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), Illinois Landscape Contractors Association (ILCA), Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA), Lake Forest Open Lands Association (LFOLA), Snow & Ice Management Association (SIMA), Illinois Turfgrass Foundation (ITF) and the Midwest Ecological Landscape Alliance (MELA) .
In conjunction with its leadership role in the industry, Mariani is committed to recruitment and internships with the finest Universities and Colleges throughout the country. Working closely with the National Association of Landscape Professionals, Mariani recruits the brightest undergraduate and graduate students and provides comprehensive internships with a full suite of training and growth opportunities.
Ongoing training and adherence to the established best practices and up-to-date industry trends are ongoing mandates at Mariani. The application of proper horticultural procedures in every aspect of Mariani’s work is part of the company culture, and benefits our clients from initial designs and for many years thereafter as the property develops and matures.
Mariani is the first landscape company to be approved to the ISO 9001 Quality Standard. This involves an implementation of a specific Quality Management System for all areas of the business including facilities, people, training, services and equipment.
Mariani is committed to our environment on every level and proper stewardship of our planet is more important than ever before. Our company-wide culture is to incorporate eco-friendly and sustainable principles into our business practices, providing our clients with architectural designs and maintenance that provide many years of lasting beauty and enjoyment.
